MFA Annual Meeting took place at Alberta, Michigan, a former sawmill town located about 13 miles south of L'Anse,
Michigan. Alberta was built as a model town by Henry Ford. Henry Ford
purchased several sawmills and communities for his car building
business. Alberta is unique in that there was nothing there until Henry
decided it would make a good location for a sawmill and a community for
his employees. So Henry built the town complete with sawmill, about a
dozen homes and two school buildings for children of his workers... a
complete community for one of his U.P. operations. Here are some photos
